COORDINATION OFFICE
The BNAG Coordination Office acts as the central hub for neighbourhood associations, ensuring that all initiatives run smoothly, associations are supported administratively, and communities are connected to the right resources and local authorities. By serving as a central point for communication, mentorship, and operational support, the office allows associations to focus on making a real impact in their communities while we handle the infrastructure, partnerships, and logistics.
BNAG’s Coordination Office also provides a turn-key solution for new associations, meaning you can operate immediately under our established framework with registration, bank accounts, membership management, online payments, and a fully functional website already in place. Associations joining BNAG also gain access to our network of local businesses, municipal contacts, and community partners, along with our IT expertise, which ensures efficient operations and transparency.
CITY SAFE - COMMUNITY SAFETY
BNAG coordinates neighbourhood safety initiatives through CitySafe, a program designed to increase security and reduce crime. This includes organizing patroller networks, street surveillance, and awareness campaigns, empowering residents to take an active role in protecting their communities.
CitySafe operates in close collaboration with Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality Law Enforcement, SAPS, Community Police Forum (CPF), and private security companies, ensuring a coordinated approach to safety. Through these partnerships, neighbourhoods become safer, more connected, and more confident in addressing local security challenges.
WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING - S@S
BNAG helps associations manage waste effectively, even when municipal refuse collection fails. In partnership with private contractors and Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality Solid Waste, we provide solutions for urgent collection needs, as well as addressing issues such as illegal dumping. This ensures streets and public spaces remain clean and safe, while helping associations coordinate resources efficiently and reduce costs.
In addition to collection support, BNAG assists associations in implementing S@S recycling programs, promoting environmentally responsible practices and fostering a culture of civic pride and sustainability within the community.
KEEP OUR CITY CLEAN
Part of the “B+. BeMore. BePositive.” initiative, Keep Our City Clean engages residents directly in maintaining and improving their neighbourhoods. The program goes beyond litter removal, encompassing street cleaning, business premise upkeep, and maintenance of parks and public spaces. This includes practical tasks such as brush-cutting, lawn mowing, debris removal, and general public space maintenance, ensuring areas are safe, accessible, and visually appealing.
Our work is highly visible, as we use bright yellow refuse bags during clean-up activities, making the impact immediately noticeable and reinforcing community pride.
By participating in Keep Our City Clean, residents not only contribute to a healthier and more welcoming environment but also develop a sense of civic pride, strengthen community bonds, and foster volunteerism. The program empowers communities to take ownership of their surroundings while BNAG provides the coordination, tools, and guidance to ensure every initiative is effective and sustainable.

This hands-on program not only improves road safety and accessibility but also provides participants with valuable, practical skills in infrastructure maintenance, teamwork, and project management.
Work carried out under Let’s Fix Our City is visible and tangible, allowing communities to see immediate improvements in their streets and neighbourhoods. The program also creates income opportunities for participants, empowering unemployed and equipping them with skills they can use for future employment or entrepreneurial ventures.
By coordinating with local authorities, private contractors, and BNAG’s operational support, Let’s Fix Our City ensures repairs are done efficiently, safely, and sustainably. The program strengthens community pride, encourages local participation, and demonstrates how hands-on initiatives can transform public spaces while building skills and livelihoods.
